MASON — A motoryclist who was injured in an Aug. 14 crash on U.S. 127 in southern Ingham County has died from his injuries, police confirmed.
James Allen Coe, 54, of Leslie, was riding in the southbound lanes, near Covert Road, when his bike left the road and struck several trees. He was taken to a hospital with critical injuries and died this week.
The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office released his name Aug. 20.
Deputies handled two fatal, single-vehicle crashes on Aug. 14, and both happened about the same time.
A 70-year-old Fowlerville man died when his vehicle struck a tree along Meridian Road, near Dexter Trail, southeast of Mason in Ingham Township, sheriff’s officials said. The man’s name was not released.
Those crashes remained under investigation, officials said.
