Dundee lines up for Culver's grand opening

DUNDEE, MI — There’s a new location to get your hands on a ButterBurger, fresh frozen custard and cheese curds in Monroe County.

A crowd turned out for the grand opening of Culver’s at 16495 Tecumseh St. in Dundee early Monday, Feb. 2.

“This community has embraced us from the beginning, and this is just what they are,” said owner and operator, Gerry Olinik. “This is what Dundee is. They are a welcoming, loving community.”

Construction at the location started in September 2025. Village Manager Ryan Rudzis said Culver’s coming to Dundee is connected to the village’s continued growth.

“We’re happy we have a culture that welcomes businesses, able to retain what we have and attract others,” he said.

Customers were served burgers, fries, and fresh frozen custard beginning at 10 a.m.

“We’re excited to have it open,” said Lynette Dziedzic, who would drive past the construction site to check up on the progress.
