Game of the Day

Jacksonville 8, Quincy 7 (9 innings)

Bentley Lagergren hit a go-ahead single that scored Jack Rohlk in the top of the ninth inning as the Crimsons won in extras.

Jacksonville (25-7) led 7-5 going into the bottom of the seventh, but Quincy sent the game into extra innings on RBI singles by James Day and Drake Gibson. The Blue Devils battled back from a 7-1 deficit.

Jacksonville’s Joe Reif doubled and finished with two RBIs, and AJ Charpentier got a no-decision after allowing one unearned run on two hits to go with six strikeouts and three walks in four innings. He went 2-for-5 with a double and scored a run.

Nolan Peters hurled four relief innings for the win and Ryan Headen pitched a scoreless ninth inning. Ethan Cruzan (1-for-3) drove in a run, scored twice and walked twice.
