As a heat wave settles over Greater Cincinnati, where you live could determine how hot it feels outside.
Much of the region is under a heat advisory from noon June 29 through 8 p.m. July 2. According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, the heat index could reach 105 degrees in Greater Cincinnati, with dewpoints in the 70s and temperatures in the mid-90s to low 100s over the next few days.
As heat spreads across Cincinnati, areas with fewer trees and more development can become urban hot spots, exposing residents to higher temperatures and greater health risks.
