LANCASTER − A 38-year-old city woman was convicted of three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in Fairfield County Common Pleas Court.
Amanda L. Spain was convicted following a week-long trial. She will be sentenced at a later date.
An investigation started on July 15, 2025, after the mother of a minor discovered communication between he and Spain, whom Sheriff Alex Lape said was his adult employer. After examining the boy’s cell phone investigators determined there had been a sexual relationship between the two.
Lape said the offenses occurred between April 1 and July 15 of last year at a ranch in the 1000 block of Rockmill Road NW in Lancaster.
Lape said he wanted to thank the victim and his family for their courage during the investigation.
