Three people were injured, one critically, in a triple shooting early Tuesday, June 23 on Milwaukee’s east side.
Police in a news release said the shooting happened around 1:52 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Van Buren Street. Authorities temporarily blocked off nearby streets as they investigated.
The three victims, all 27, were taken to a local hospital for treatment. One of them suffered life-threatening injuries. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Milwaukee police are investigating the circumstances leading up the shooting and searching for a suspect.

As of June 21, there had been 187 non-fatal shootings in Milwaukee so far this year, according to police data. That is about a 30% decline from 2025.
