Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams are big fans of joint practices because of the value they provide for the starters who don’t play in preseason games. Kellen Moore and the New Orleans Saints feel similarly, which makes them a perfect match for practices this summer.
Moore confirmed on Thursday that the Saints will hold joint practices with the Jaguars, Rams and Cowboys this offseason. Training camp schedules haven’t been finalized yet so there are no dates or times set for the Rams’ joint practice with the Saints, but those details will be ironed out at some point.
It’s also unclear where the practice will be held; the Rams and Saints both hold camp in Southern California, so they could pick either team’s facility.
Last year, the Rams and Saints practiced at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., which was a successful day of work for both teams.
The Rams and Saints are scheduled to play a preseason game on Aug. 22, so it’s likely that they will hold their joint practice sometime the week before that meeting at SoFi Stadium.
