And we are not talking about the thrill of the rides.

A recent survey by the online casino ACE.com looked at the most “unexpected” romantic places to meet the love of your life.

The results for Ohio among some 3,024 respondents were a bit surprising.

Cedar Point took the top spot.

The wait in line for the thrilling roller coasters, respondents said, offered the perfect chance to meet others and strike up conversations.

“A roller coaster line at Cedar Point is basically situational proximity with screaming in the distance,” the survey found. “Everyone is pretending to be braver than they are, checking wait times, and making jokes that become less confident as the ride gets closer. It has adrenaline, boredom, and shared excitement to make strangers unusually honest. If sparks fly while waiting for a 200-foot drop, that is either chemistry or survival instinct.”

The No. 2 spot was Buckeye Donuts by the Ohio State University campus at 1 a.m. where students gather for coffee or a glazed donut.

Columbus also earned the No. 3 spot.

Respondents said the galleries situated along the city’s Short North District are a perfect place to meet someone new.

The No. 4 spot is the eclectic Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield.

The sprawling store offers a collection of groceries mixed with colorful and animated displays.

Rounding out the list of unexpected places to meet someone in Ohio was the West Side Market in Cleveland.

Wandering amid the display cases of everything from seafood to spices to specialty breads is the perfect spot to bond with a fellow food lover.

The survey found with rising fuel costs and inflation, singles in Ohio were looking for more affordable places to meet someone rather than a bar or a concert.

The survey found other ways to meet someone.
