Guardians place Rookie of the Year candidate Chase DeLauter on IL

All three Guardians players who were injured June 13 during a 3-1 win over the Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field are now on the 10-day injured list.

Rookie outfielder Chase DeLauter rounded out the trio on the IL on Wednesday, June 17.

DeLauter suffered a right rib fracture and joined All-Star third baseman Jose Ramirez (fractured left hamate bone) and outfielder Angel Martinez (non-displaced left foot fracture) on the IL. Ramirez underwent surgery on June 16.

Guardians roster move: Kahlil Watson called up from Columbus

The Guardians announced they recalled outfielder Kahlil Watson from Triple-A Columbus to replace DeLauter, whose placement on the IL is retroactive to June 14.

Chase DeLauter stats

DeLauter has appeared in 66 Guardians games this season. He is hitting .263 with a team-high 34 RBIs, seven home runs, 12 doubles and a triple. His OPS is .745.
