The Cleveland Browns have a good starting pair at corner with Denzel Ward and Tyson Campbell, but the depth after that is questionable. Add that Ward only has one more year after this year on his deal, and it would make sense that the Browns could look to add a corner early in the 2027 NFL draft. Even if Ward signs an extension, the team will need to start thinking about life after Ward.
A lot can change during the college season, but looking at this cornerback class in the summer, there is one guy at the top who looks like a superstar: Notre Dame’s Leonard Moore. He can do it all; he excels in zone and man coverage and makes an impact as a run defender. Unless Moore has a terrible season, he looks like a top-10 caliber prospect.
Ohio State’s Jermaine Matthews Jr. didn’t make the job last year, some had hoped, but he remains a very intriguing name to watch this year. Georgia’s Ellis Robinson IV, Syracuse’s Chris Peal, and Alabama’s Zabien Brown are other names to have on your radar this college football season.
