The Texas Tech softball team’s road to the Women’s College World Series is about to begin.
NiJaree Canady and the Red Raiders will try finish the job with a new cast of characters. First, Texas Tech will find out where it is seeded in the 2026 NCAA softball tournament. They’ll begin by hosting the Lubbock Region starting Friday after earning the No. 11 overall seed in the tournament field.
Texas Tech will begin play against Marist with Ole Miss and Boston U being the other two teams coming to Lubbock.
Tech’s region is matched up with the Gainesville Regional. Florida earned the No. 6 overall seed in the field. If seeds hold, the Red Raiders would play the Gators in the Super Regionals for a spot in the WCWS.
Regional action begins Thursday, May 14, with the Super Regionals set for May 21-24. The WCWS is slated for May 28 to June 5 at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
