Texas Tech softball NCAA tournament selection live updates

The Texas Tech softball team’s road to the Women’s College World Series is about to begin.

A year after coming one game short of a national championship, NiJaree Canady, Gerry Glasco and the Red Raiders will try finish the job with a new cast of characters. First, Texas Tech will find out where it is seeded in the 2026 NCAA softball tournament.

Regional action begins Thursday, May 14, with the Super Regionals set for May 21-24. The WCWS is slated for May 28 to June 5 at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.

Texas Tech softball NCAA Tournament history

The Red Raiders are locked into the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row. Last year’s run led Texas Tech all the way to Oklahoma City and the Women’s College World Series, where the Red Raiders lost to Texas in the third game of the national championship series.

This is expected to be the second time in program history Texas Tech will host a home regional.
