WISCONSIN RAPIDS − City firefighters responded to two fires, including a house fire, over the Fourth of July weekend.
The cause of both fires is still being investigated. Firefighters from Grand Rapids, Port Edwards, Nekoosa, Rudolph and Biron assisted at the fires, along with Saratoga First Responders, according to a Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department news release. The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department also assisted at the scene.
