She redshirt the following season at Stony Brook, but came back strong this past season, averaging 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

Ware will try to continue that success at Wisconsin. She announced her commitment to the Badgers women’s basketball team on Instagram on May 10.

Ware is the sixth player coach Robin Pingeton has added from the transfer portal for the 2025-26 season. Four of those players are guards. A fifth addition, incoming freshman Nikki Kerstein, is a point guard as is returning senior Ronnie Porter.

Ware has two years of eligibility remaining. She was a third-team all-conference pick in the Coastal Athletic Association and helped Stony Brook post a 12-18 record and a 7-11 mark in league play.

Ware started 25 of 29 games, shot 43.2% overall (140 of 321) and 35.4% (29 of 82) from 3-point range. She led the team in assists and ranked second on the team in scoring and minutes per game (33.6).

Ware’s scoring jumped after the start of the new year. She averaged 11.2 points in the first 10 games and 16.5 points in the final 19. That run included double-digits in 16 games.

The addition of Ware brings the Badgers’ 2025-26 roster to 14 players. There is one spot left.
