Over the month of May, several food recalls affected Wisconsin consumers. These recalls can be tracked on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service website.
Consumers in the Fox Valley should check to see if they’ve purchased any of these products and should dispose of them properly.
Croutons sold at Kroger recalled for salmonella
Croutons sold under the Kroger brand have been recalled over concerns that they may be contaminated with salmonella.
This follows a third-party supplier-initiated recall by California Dairies, Inc., which supplied the milk powder to Solina USA. That company produces the seasoning blend Sugar Foods applies to the croutons.
The recall affects the following product:
The products were distributed to Kroger stores between March 7 and April 7.
The croutons were sold in 17 states including Wisconsin. There are seven Pick ‘n Save stores, which sell Kroger products, in the area.
Appleton-area stores possible affected by the recall include 511 W. Calumet St. and 2700 N. Ballard Road in Appleton, 2400 W. Wisconsin Ave. in Grand Chute, N135 Stoney Brook Road in Buchanan and 828 Fox Point Plaza and 1530 S. Commercial St. in Neenah.
Customers who purchased one of the recalled croutons may contact Sugar Foods LLC at 332-240-6676 for questions or more information.
SkinnyDipped chocolate recalled for undeclared allergen
Batches of SkinnyDipped chocolate-coated nuts were voluntarily recalled on May 27 due to the possible presence of an undeclared allergen.
Bazzini, LLC, a co-manufacturer used by SkinnyDipped, issued the warning for consumers with peanut allergies who risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The SkinnyDipped Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Bites were distributed nationwide to several retailers. It can be found in stores like Pick ‘n Save, Target and Walmart.
There are two Targets in the Appleton area at 4301 W. Wisconsin Ave. in Grand Chute and 1800 S. Kensington Drive in Appleton.
There is one Walmart at 3701 E. Calumet St. in Appleton, one at 955 Mutual Way in Grand Chute and one at 1155 W. Winneconne Ave. in Neenah.
The notice stated peanuts and peanut butter are not intended ingredients in SkinnyDipped Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Bites. No other SkinnyDipped products are affected.

Consumers with the recalled product have been urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Special ranch seasoning sold nationwide recalled for salmonella
On May 15, Blackstone Products recalled its parmesan ranch seasoning, according to a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) notice. This stems from the dry milk powder recall from California Dairies, Inc.
The milk powder ingredient was supplied to a third-party manufacturer and used in the seasoning product, the notice states. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
The products were sold in Walmart stores nationwide and on the Blackstone Products’ website.
The recalled products include units of Blackstone Parmesan ranch 7.3-ounce seasoning powder with best-by dates of July 2, 2027, Aug. 5, 2027 and Aug. 12, 2027. The units also have the following lot numbers: 2025-43282, 2025-46172 and 2026-54751.
Consumers should not use the product and dispose of it immediately, according to Blackstone Products.
Instant noodles recalled for possible allergen contamination
Fly By Jing announced a recall of one flavor of its instant noodles on May 12.
The company’s Creamy Sesame Noodles may have been exposed to peanuts which is not disclosed on the packaging, the report states.
Fly By Jing discovered that a third-party manufacturer produces its products on equipment that also processed peanuts, which may have led to cross-contamination, according to the recall.
The recalled Fly By Jing Creamy Sesame Noodles were sold at retailers nationwide, between Feb. 1 and March 8, according to the FDA’s report.
They can be found at stores like Target, Meijer and Walmart.
There is one Meijer in the Appleton area at 3801 N. Richmond St. in Grand Chute.
