A 42-year-old woman was found dead in an alley after a shooting that occurred on the 2700 block of South 10th Street in the early morning on July 5, according to Milwaukee police.
Kristy A. Syed was identified as the victim July 7 by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Syed was found in an alley, wearing minimal clothing with multiple observed gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Police say a person of interest was identified and found dead. At this time, police are not seeking any additional suspects, according to a July 7 update from the police department.
The circumstances that led up to the shooting are still under investigation.
