Korz Loken, one of the Wisconsin Badgers’ commitments in the class of 2027, is putting in overtime to recruit a quarterback.
Exactly 18 minutes after Jack Sorgi announced he’d be decommitting from Louisville, Loken took to social media to try and bring Jim Sorgi’s son to Wisconsin.
Seeing as Jim played for the program, it shouldn’t be that hard a sell in the first place. Loken posted, “Let’s make this dude a Badger.”
Jack’s father, Jim, set numerous records for the Badgers and later went on to be a sixth-round NFL draft pick. Jim was selected No. 193 overall by the Indianapolis Colts in 2004. He later went on to win Super Bowl XLI, though it’s worth noting he was Peyton Manning’s backup.
Either way, Sorgi had a successful NFL career, and it all began in Wisconsin. His son, Jack, released a statement after decommitting from Louisville that included this quote: “After a lot of thought and conversations with my family, I have made the decision to decommit from the University of Louisville football program and reopen my recruitment.”
While that could mean anything, it’d be shocking to hear the Badgers weren’t in the mix for the four-star QB out of Lizton, IN.
Loken has no prior experience with Sorgi, but it’s not a surprise to see a top tight end recruit who would love to bring one of the class of 2027’s top quarterbacks with him.
