Wisconsin re-enters top 15 after landing Florida's top safety

Four-star safety Mekhi Williams immediately became the Wisconsin Badgers top-rated recruit in their class of 2027.

Luke Fickell has outdone himself as he was able to not only flip Williams from Florida State, but also beat out LSU and Nebraska in a battle for Florida’s top safety.

After landing Williams, Wisconsin jumped to No. 15 in 247Sports recruiting rankings.

This marks a significant milestone for the Badgers, one that didn’t seem achievable after how poorly they’ve been during Fickell’s time in Madison.

Currently, the team has 17 commitments and has a ton of visits lined up this weekend. Should things go according to plan, Wisconsin could enter the top 10 and establish one of the best recruiting classes in the entire country.
