There’s perhaps no other sport that allows an athlete to demonstrate the full potential of their athletic abilities than track and field.
Be it running, throwing or jumping, the sport is where the best athletes shine across a multitude of events.
Taking into consideration all Manitowoc Lutheran senior Trenton Schuettpelz accomplished over the course of this season he has claim to being one of the best athletes in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties.
The 2026 Lakeshore Elite Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year was successful in a variety of events, capped by taking fifth at the WIAA Division 3 state meet in the triple jump with a distance of 44 feet.
He won a regional title in the 110-meter hurdles while also reaching the sectional meet in the 300 hurdles, long jump and triple jump.
Earlier in the season he also claimed Big East conference titles in the 300 hurdles, long jump and triple jump.
