Coming off a disappointing home loss to No. 25 USC on Oct. 19, the Wisconsin volleyball team hits the road for two matches against West Coast opponents.
First up for the 12th-ranked Badgers (13-3 overall, 6-2 in the Big Ten) is Washington on Friday, Oct. 24. Then it’s on to Oregon on Sunday, Oct. 26.
Despite the USC loss, coach Kelly Sheffield was glad Wisconsin showed some urgency.
“There was a desperation and a strength that was coming out that I told our team we need to be tapping into more frequently,” he said after the match.

Though the Badgers are on the road, they should have the advantage against Washington (9-9, 4-4) and Oregon (12-6, 3-5). Both are coming off losses to ranked opponents — Washington to No. 18 Minnesota and Oregon to No. 17 Penn State.
