The Waukesha County Fair announced that Sebastian Bach’s concert, scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday, July 16, has been canceled because of air quality concerns, according to a news release an hour ahead of scheduled performance start.
“Due to circumstances outside of Waukesha County Fair’s control, tonight’s Miller Lite Main Stage performance, Sebastian Bach, has been canceled by artist management due to air quality index concerns,” fair officials said in a social media post. “The Fair is as disappointed as fairgoers and fans are that the show is unable to go on.”
Fair officials said the rest of the fair will continue as scheduled. The air quality alert remains in effect for the area until noon Friday, July 17, and officials said they will continue monitoring conditions.
“We encourage fairgoers to be mindful of current conditions and plan their visit accordingly,” officials said.
The fair noted that two air-conditioned buildings on the grounds will remain available for guests seeking relief from the heat and poor air quality. Re-entry wristbands will also continue to be available, though parking is not included with re-entry.
Concert ticket holders will be contacted directly by email with refund instructions. However, general admission tickets and parking passes are nonrefundable, the fair said.
