OSHKOSH – Antonio D. Brown, 39, a Milwaukee homicide suspect listed among Wisconsin’s Most Wanted, was arrested in Oshkosh at about 2 p.m. April 15, according to the Oshkosh Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service’s Eastern Wisconsin Violent Offender Task Force.
Investigators said Oshkosh police detectives and U.S. Marshals deputies located Brown near a business on the city’s north side during a fugitive apprehension operation that used investigative technology, including Flock automated license plate recognition cameras.
Authorities said Brown was taken into custody without incident.
Brown’s apprehension comes as the city is considering renewing a $163,500 Flock camera contract. Oshkosh Common Council is expected to vote on the matter April 21.
What prosecutors allege in the Milwaukee shooting
Prosecutors allege Brown was the gunman in a Dec. 15, 2025, shooting outside Dee’s Elegance Bar in Milwaukee that killed LaTroy Harris and wounded Harris’ nephew, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Court records allege Brown entered the bar shortly after midnight and was captured on surveillance video near Harris. After Harris walked toward the exit, investigators allege the suspect followed him outside and fired nine to 10 shots at close range.
Investigators said they recovered 14 spent .40-caliber casings and bullet fragments. The complaint says the video shows the suspect’s face, and prosecutors said investigators matched images to a prior booking photo to identify Brown.
Authorities said they also traced a reported getaway vehicle, a black Infiniti SUV. Court records say investigators stopped it two days later and arrested the driver, identified as “ML,” who told detectives the shooter ordered him to drive before getting out near 11th and Hadley. The complaint says “ML” identified Brown as the shooter.
A witness told police the shooter was known as “Murder” and “Drama,” according to court records. Investigators also noted Brown had previously been arrested in an earlier shooting involving Harris.
Prosecutors charged Brown with first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless endangering safety and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Each count includes a dangerous-weapon enhancer.
