Manitowoc Rahr-West offers monthly summer gallery tours with experts

MANITOWOC – Your summer calendar just got a lot more colorful.

The Rahr-West Art Museum is rolling out monthly, drop-in gallery tours for summer 2026, led by staff members and guest experts. No registration is required, and the tours are free and open to the public.

Free summer museum tours in Manitowoc: Dates, times and themes

Here’s a rundown of the planned tours:

Vilas-Rahr Mansion tours return Thursdays all summer

Docent-led Vilas-Rahr Mansion tours are set for 11 a.m. Thursdays from June through September 2026.

Volunteer guides will share stories of the families who lived in the home, point out architectural details and trace the building’s evolution from private mansion to civic center to fine arts museum.

The Rahr-West Art Museum is at 610 N. Eighth St. in Manitowoc. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The museum is closed Mondays.

Admission is free. Donations are accepted, with a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $2 for children.
