A 48-year-old Milwaukee man who was killed after a suspected road rage incident July 17 has been identified, according to a report from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Dion J. Armstrong was killed after he was shot while driving his vehicle in the 4000 block of West Lancaster Avenue, causing his vehicle to crash into multiple unoccupied cars, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
Armstrong was pronounced dead at the scene, while his 44-year-old passenger was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries sustained in the crash, but was not struck by gunfire.
Medical examiner’s reports and police said the shooting was a result of a road rage incident. Police said the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
