For a lot of Wisconsin families, it feels like the paycheck just doesn’t stretch as far as it used to. Property taxes are going up, utility bills keep climbing, and buying that first home is increasingly out of reach.
Those are some of the biggest reasons I’m supporting Tom Tiffany for governor.
As property taxes continue to spiral out of control, Tiffany has promised to end Tony Evers’ 400-year property tax increase and make Wisconsin a more affordable place to live, work and raise a family. He also understands that homeownership has always been an important part of the American Dream, and we should be making it easier — not harder — for the next generation to put down roots here.
Energy costs need attention, too. Wisconsin ratepayers have been hit with more than $2 billion in utility rate increases under Gov. Evers. With massive new data centers coming to Wisconsin, families and small businesses shouldn’t be left paying higher electric bills to subsidize some of the largest technology companies in the world.
Tom has been clear that data centers need to pay their own way, while local communities deserve a meaningful voice in decisions that could affect their utility bills, land and quality of life.
If you’re still deciding who to support for governor, come hear from Tom yourself. He’ll be at Holidays Pub & Grill in Neenah at 6 p.m. Aug. 27.
Bring your questions and hear directly from him about his plans to make Wisconsin more affordable.
Cameron Clark,
Neenah
