The Wisconsin Badgers won’t have much time to rest after opening their 2026 season against Kentucky before returning to action Saturday afternoon against another top-10 opponent, taking on No. 7 Louisville at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee as part of the AVCA First Serve.
This matchup will also give Wisconsin a chance to avenge its most recent meeting with Louisville. The Cardinals defeated the Badgers 3-1 in the 2024 season opener, winning the final three sets after Wisconsin took the first set 25-18.
The victory was particularly notable for Louisville, as it marked the program’s first win over Wisconsin since 1985.
Nearly two years after that matchup, the Badgers will have another opportunity to take down the Cardinals, this time with both teams ranked inside the top seven nationally.
