The price of gas in southeast Wisconsin jumped over the May 1 weekend due to problems at a major oil refinery in Indiana and ongoing issues with the Strait of Hormuz.

The average price for a gallon of gas in Wisconsin was $4.38 on Monday, May 4, up from $3.92 a week ago, according to AAA.
