Former KISS-FM DJ faces embezzlement charges

A former KISS-FM DJ previously charged with possessing child pornography was charged May 21 with embezzling over $13,000 from the U.S. Junior Curling Association.

Who is charged?

Daniel Lieburn, 39, of Howard.

According to criminal complaints, Lieburn told police he was a DJ for KISS-FM and a general manager at XS Nightclub, 1106 Main St., Green Bay. KISS-FM confirmed that Lieburn, known on air as Dan Brown, is no longer with Woodward Community Media.

Lieburn is charged in Brown County with theft in a business setting between $10,000 and $100,000, a felony.

What’s next?

Lieburn is scheduled to make his initial appearance in the theft case May 22. He remains in custody at the Brown County Jail on a $50,000 bail from the child pornography and drug case.

Lieburn is scheduled to return in court in the child pornography case June 1 for an arraignment.
