University of Wisconsin Green Bay men’s basketball coach Doug Gottlieb recently confirmed a huge exhibition.
On Thursday, October 15, the Wisconsin Badgers will go to the Resch Center for a pre-season, exhibition showdown against Gottlieb’s Phoenix.
This marks the first meeting between these two teams since 2022, when Wisconsin came out on top, 56-45.
All-time, Wisconsin is 27-1 against UWGB. Their lone loss happened to come in overtime at the Resch Center in 2009 when the Badgers were ranked.
Gottlieb made this announcement on the Inside Wisconsin radio show. WFRV’s Kyle Malzhan confirmed the exhibition, though UW has yet to officially comment, according to Journal Sentinel’s John Steppe.
