What is the ASA STARS National Tour?

ASA STARS is a 12-race championship for asphalt super late model racers from around the country. The cars are similar to those that race in the ASA Midwest Tour and at tracks like Slinger and Madison but also have some technical rules differences, and the races tend to be longer.

When are the ASA STARS National Tour races in Wisconsin?

The Badger State 325 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. June 21 at Slinger Speedway. Practice begins at noon and qualifying at 4:30.

The Capital 200 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. June 23 at Madison International Speedway in the Town of Rutland. Practice begins at 12:30 p.m. and qualifying at 5:15 p.m.

How much do tickets cost for ASA STARS at Slinger and Madison?

General admission tickets for the ASA STARS races at Slinger Speedway and at Madison International Speedway cost $30 plus fees in advance through the Ticket Hoss app or ASA STARS website, or $35 at the gate. Children, students, seniors and veterans are eligible for discounts, and family packs (two adults, up to four children) are available at both tracks.

Are ASA STARS races on television or streaming?

The ASA STARS National Tour partners with TrackTV for streaming. An annual subscription is $299.99 and includes the ASA regional tours as well as other events. A monthly subscription is $29.99.

Who are top national drivers to watch in ASA STARS races at Slinger and Madison?

The ASA STARS National Tour has a bonus program for full-time competitors, ensuring some continuity from week to week. Through three races, the 2026 standings skew young.

Anthony Campi Racing driver Carson Brown, who won’t turn 18 until July, leads the standings over 21-year-old Canadian Kyle Steckley of Wilson Motorsports. Brown, the defending winner at Madison, has two victories and a runner-up finish to start 2026.

Tristan McKee, 15, sits third, driving for Richie Wauters. Spencer Davis, who has raced in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, is the senior driver of the top five at age 27. Jade Avedisian, a highly regarded 19-year-old prospect making the transition from dirt to asphalt, ranks fifth.

Familiar veterans such as Stephen Nasse and Derek Thorn have competed in every race but haven’t had the results to which they are accustomed.

What Wisconsin drivers are racing in the ASA STARS events at Slinger and Madison?

Derek Kraus of Stratford, a winner on the STARS National Tour last season, is a regular in the series.

Seymour native Ty Majeski, the inaugural STARS champion in 2023 and a frequent winner at both tracks, is entered in both events.

Midwest Tour regulars Justin Mondeik and Levon Van Der Geest are expected. Luke Fenhaus of Wausau and Penn Sauter of DeForest are maybes for Madison.

Will ASA STARS drivers compete in other Wisconsin races such as the Slinger Nationals or Madison ASA Midwest Tour event?

Some traveling drivers and a handful of Wisconsin drivers may compete July 13-14 in the Slinger Nationals, one of the premier short track races in the country and not affiliated with any series. Madison hosts two Midwest Tour events, including the Howie Lettow Classic 100 on July 24.

What happened in the ASA STARS National Tour at Slinger Speedway in 2025?

Slinger Speedway replaced the Milwaukee Mile on the schedule in 2025.

Reigning STARS champion Cole Butcher beat future ThorSport NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teammate Majeski for the $15,000 payday. Butcher was too strong on restarts for Majeski, who had been the fastest qualifier and elected to start at the rear of the field to pursue a $5,000 bonus if he could win.

Nasse finished third. Fenhaus led 131 laps early in the race but crashed after a tire went flat.

What happened in the ASA STARS National Tour at Madison International Speedway in 2025?

Brown won a war of attrition over Butcher in the series’ annual visit to the half mile. Just eight cars were running at the end of 250 laps, so it may be worth noting the race is 200 this time. Fenhaus and Sommers led convincingly at times but both succumbed to mechanical issues, as did Sauter, who’d run a strong second.
