Green Bay Pride will host a pride festival June 20 at Green Bay City Hall, 100 N. Jefferson St.
Green Bay Pride created the festival to provide time for the LGBTQIA+ community to stand together and support one another. On their Facebook page they said this is to “create opportunities for visibility, celebration, and connection.”
Last year, N.E.W. Pride was set to host a festival Sept. 19 and 20, but the event was postponed to Nov. 2 due to what the group called an “increasingly charged political climate.”
After the postponement, Green Bay Pride stepped up to host an event, “We Will Still Be Seen: A Pop-Up Pride,” on Oct. 4.
Leading up to the big celebration on June 20, Green Bay Pride has arranged events such as drag bingo, trivia, board game night and a comedy show.
