Community Pancake Breakfast
The EAA Chapter 706 will host a Community Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 27 at the South Wood County Alexander Field Airport, 3620 First St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. Kids can check out the airplanes at the event, along with police cars and fire trucks in the large hangar. Breakfast includes all-you-can-eat pancakes with eggs, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. Adults and older kids can eat for $10, children between the ages of 5 and 7 can eat for $7, and children 4 years and younger can eat for free. Event organizers ask guests to pay in cash only. Ridges Firework Show
The Ridges Golf Course & Banquet Facility will host The Ridges Firework Show to celebrate America’s 250th birthday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. June 27 at 2311 Griffith Ave. in Wisconsin Rapids. Jason McNabb and The Reign Band will perform live music on the 10 tee box in front of the patio from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and fireworks will be launched after dusk. The event is free, but a limited amount of premier viewing tickets are available in advance for $35, including access to the main building, a buffet dinner, access to main and bunker bars and premium viewing areas. Kick Off to the Fourth
Bradach Company will host a Kick Off to the Fourth event from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 28 at 6797 State 34 in Rudolph. Rustic Road Coffee will offer brews, and other food trucks will be available at the event like Bits and Pieces, Wisco Grill, Sweet Lemon Lab, Roro’s Kitchen and Just One Scoop.
