Oneida Pow Wow celebrates culture, connection. Here's what to know

The 52nd annual Oneida Pow Wow will be held June 26 to 28 at the Norbert Hill Center, N7210 Seminary Road. Organized by Oneida Nation, this annual event is organized to bring people together to celebrates culture, community and connection.

The weekend will be filled with dance competitions each day, preceded by a grand entry, where all the performances join in to showcase their different styles. The grand entry start times are 7 p.m. June 26, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. June 27, and noon June 28.

Over $163,000 in prize money will be up for grabs throughout the weekend between the dance competitions and drum competition. A weekend pass is required to register and compete.

What to know before attending the Oneida Pow Wow:

There is also an Oneida Pow Wow Run/Walk , from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. June 27. The run will be along Duck Creek Trail and open to all ages, no registration fee required.

A free Pow Wow one-day entry pass will be given to the first 40 participants to hit the three-mile mark.
