Wimbledon 2025 is starting Monday, June 30, and continues with two weeks of competition.
This year, the tournament will be played over 14 days, and begins with two days of singles matches, followed by doubles and mixed doubles. Then, the tournament concludes on Sunday, July 13, with the men’s singles final and women’s doubles final.
The men’s side features defending singles winner Carlos Alcaraz along with No. 1 ranked ATP player Jannik Sinner. Last year’s winner in women’s singles, Barbora Krejcikova, highlights that category along with top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka.

Wimbledon is located in an outer borough of London. According to Britannica, it’s about eight miles southwest of London.
Wimbledon line judges
It will be the first time in the tournament’s 148-year history that line judges are not used, according to the New York Times. Instead, Wimbledon will rely on electronic line calling, which is also used at the Australian and U.S. Opens.
Weather at Wimbledon
Temperatures are expected to be hot in Wimbledon, triggering a “heat rule” at the tournament.
According to London Evening Standard, athletes will have to take a 10-minute break between the second and third set when the heat stress index is at or above 30.1C — that’s about 86 degrees Fahrenheit.
