Watch Mavericks F Khris Middleton reflect on his Texas A&M career

While it’s not a true hometown homecoming, it is very much a college homecoming for NBA veteran Khris Middleton, who spent three seasons at Texas A&M before being selected in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. His path eventually led him to Milwaukee, where he became one of the most accomplished Aggies to ever play professionally.

Across 12 seasons with the Bucks, Middleton developed into a three‑time NBA All‑Star, an NBA Champion, and one of the most reliable two‑way wings of his era. When you factor in his longevity, postseason résumé, and career earnings, there’s a strong argument that he owns one of the most successful professional careers of any Texas A&M athlete.

After a short stint with the Washington Wizards, Middleton was included in a blockbuster deal that sent him to the Dallas Mavericks, bringing him back to the Lone Star State as the franchise continues reshaping its roster around rookie phenom Cooper Flagg. Before taking the court for his first practice in Dallas, Middleton sat down with reporters and reflected on how his time at Texas A&M shaped him, prepared him for the NBA grind, and helped him build a championship‑caliber mindset.
