Over the last few months, the Longhorns offense has undergone some major changes. The new faces include Cam Coleman, Hollywood Smoothers, and Raleek Brown. While that trio will arrive in Austin with high expectations, they will be joined by a few familiar faces, such as Ryan Wingo, who is poised for a big 2026 campaign.
During his sophomore season, the St. Louis native took his game to another level. He set new career-highs in receptions with 54 and receiving yards with 834. Despite playing in three games fewer than the year before, Wingo managed to find the end zone seven times and made an impact every time he stepped on the field.
While Wingo will be competing with Coleman for snaps, he continued to improve his chemistry last season with Arch Manning. That was a welcome sign as the former top recruit showed flashes of promise during his freshman season on the Forty Acres.
As the Longhorns’ wide receiver became more involved in the passing game, he also made an impact on the ground. He finished the 2025 campaign with 42 rushing yards on seven carries. While his number was not called often in the running game, he made the most of his opportunities.
With a roster full of talent, the Longhorns are once again expected to compete for a national title. Wingo will be a key piece in accomplishing that goal while also raising his stock for the NFL draft. Regardless of what moves are made, he should once again be one of Manning’s top targets.
