Texas A&M head coach Trisha Ford and her staff have been on an absolute roll this week in the transfer portal. The Aggies are now up to seven additions, and on Wednesday they secured their second pitcher, addressing one of the roster’s most pressing offseason needs.
Not only is it their second arm it’s also their second transfer from the University of Houston. Former Cougar Nicole Bodeux announced her commitment to Texas A&M and arrives in College Station with two years of eligibility remaining. She joins teammate Jordee Wilkins, who also signed with the Aggies on Wednesday, giving Ford a pair of familiar faces who can help stabilize the roster.
Bodeux, a right‑hander, will look to bounce back after a challenging 2025 campaign. She appeared in 27 games with five starts, finishing with a 9.63 ERA, but the raw numbers don’t tell the whole story. Sometimes, a change of scenery and a pitching‑focused staff can unlock a turnaround. Under Ford, if Bodeux can tighten her walk‑to‑strikeout ratio and regain confidence in the zone, the Aggies may have found a veteran who can steal valuable relief innings throughout the season.
For a program aggressively reshaping its roster, Bodeux represents another depth piece who can help absorb innings, stabilize the bullpen, and give Ford more options as the staff continues to evolve.
