She is ranked as the No. 81 player and No. 12 middle infielder in the transfer portal by Softball America. She has received an 87.00 grade

She was named to the All-CUSA First Team and gives head coach Gerry Glasco another versatile piece he can use in his lineup. She started 56 games last year, with 55 coming at shortstop, and has the athleticism to play multiple spots in the infield. She made seven errors, finishing with a .965 fielding percentage.

Gallaway is the third transfer that Texas Tech has landed this offseason as they once again load up in their hopes of making another deep playoff run. Former Purdue All-American outfielder Moriah Poler and former LSU pitcher Jayden Heavener have already committed and are ranked among the top seven players in the portal.
