El Paso police are investigating a shooting in a Northeast neighborhood that sent one person to the hospital.
The shooting occurred shortly before 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, in the 3600 block of Fred Wilson Avenue near Dyer Street in the Logan Heights neighborhood, El Paso Police Department spokeswoman Detective Judy Oviedo said in a message.
A helicopter could be seen flying over the neighborhood as patrol cars drove around searching nearby streets shortly after the shooting.
Further details were not readily released.
