Police have identified two people who were killed and one who was injured in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday in southwest Lubbock.
Officers responded to the reported crash about 1:02 a.m. Saturday in the 6500 block of Milwaukee, according to a statement from Lubbock police.
Upon arrival, officers located the driver of a passenger car, 28-year-old Ruiz Pardo, who had been partially ejected from the vehicle. Pardo was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center where he later died.

Pardo was traveling south in the 6300 block of Milwaukee Avenue and was attempting to turn east into a convenience store parking lot when the two passenger cars collided, sending Pardo’s vehicle into a utility pole.
Other factors contributing to the crash were not immediately clear as the investigation is ongoing.
