A 15-year-old male driver was killed in an early morning wreck in Baylor County Sunday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to the release, a 2011 Nissan passenger car was traveling east on U.S. 82 at an unsafe speed for the curved roadway, drove into a ditch and rolled several times.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 16-year-old male passenger was taken to Seymour Hospital for treatment of injuries. The passenger wore a seatbelt, but the driver did not, according to DPS.

The DPS did not release the names of either juvenile. Their policy is not to release the names of juveniles involved in crashes.
