A multi-vehicle traffic collision involving a semitrailer has closed Interstate 10 in East El Paso, police said.
There were at least three people taken to a hospital following the collision, which occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 18, on I-10 West near Yarbrough Drive, El Paso Police Department spokeswoman Detective Judy Oviedo said in a message.
A semitrailer appeared to be down on its side blocking the freeway, according to images from Texas Department of Transportation highway cameras.
All lanes of I-10 West are closed at Lomaland Drive and westbound traffic is backed up to Zaragoza Road, according to traffic cameras. The closure is until further notice, TxDOT said via X.
