Hello A-J readers!

Robert Madden Industries, founded in Lubbock in 1979, announced the acquisition of AC Supply Co., which started 65 years ago in Tarrant County. The acquired stores in the DFW now operate under the RMI name.

“In DFW, we have focused on developing our equipment business over the past three years, and AC Supply Co. brings the Parts & Supplies expertise that allows us to immediately serve both customer bases in a more complete way,” said Casey Yates, vice president of Robert Madden Industries. “As we move through this transition, our focus will remain on supporting customers, listening to employees, and creating a smooth experience for everyone involved.”

The Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market announced its return to The Plaza behind the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts at 511 Avenue K for the 2026 season. The first day will be May 23 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and continue weekly through Oct. 24.

Another interesting shift came with the move of Robinson Strings, which has served the area since 1979. The shop moved from 3602 Slide Road, No. B-11 to 5102 Salem Ave. on Tuesday. With the move, the business will begin offering private lessons for bowed string instruments.

As always, thank you for reading and supporting the A-J.
