This football season, the Texas football team will have guests over the day after Thanksgiving.

Texas and Texas A&M have traditionally played on Thanksgiving weekend. According to Texas, the game was held on Black Friday from 1996-2007, but it was a Thanksgiving tussle during the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 seasons. Texas and Texas A&M did not play for 13 seasons after the Aggies left for the Southeastern Conference, but the two schools battled on a Saturday night in College Station when the rivalry resumed this season.

On Nov. 30, Texas recorded a 17-7 win over Texas A&M. The Longhorns now hold a 77-37-5 lead in the all-time series.

Texas A&M last visited Royal-Memorial Stadium during the 2010 season.
