Jake Paul’s MVP signs El Paso boxing champ, police officer Stephanie Han

El Paso World Boxing Association lightweight champion Stephanie Han will have a significant opportunity moving forward in her career.

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced Monday, June 16, the signing of the undefeated Han (10-0, 3 KOs), who also works for the El Paso Police Department.

The popular Jake Paul involved in MVP

MVP was founded by boxer Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian in 2021. MVP has produced Paul’s last six global pay-per-view events. The promotional company is involved in both women’s and men’s boxing.

MVP promoted the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight in 2024, streamed live globally on Netflix and shattered records, becoming the most-streamed sporting event ever with 108 million live viewers globally.

Co-founder Nakisa Bidarian served as an executive producer of Paul vs. Tyson and the historic Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr., which was the eighth most-bought pay-per-view event in history.

Han’s career

Han defeated Hannah Terlep by first-round knockout on Feb. 22 at the El Paso County Coliseum to claim the vacant WBA lightweight world title.

“Signing with Most Valuable Promotions is a dream realized. I’m honored to join a team that’s not just shaping the future of women’s boxing, but fighting for it,” said Han. “With MVP behind me, I’m more ready than ever to rise, represent, and make history.”

Han said she expects to fight in August in Orlando, Florida, but no opponent has been named. Han’s sister, Jennifer, is a former world featherweight champion.

“MVP is working hard to promote women’s boxing and it’s great to be a part of that,” Han said.

Jake Paul fights vs. Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. on June 28

Paul is back in action on June 28 against former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who previously held the WBC middleweight title.

Paul is 11-1, and Chavez, Jr., is 54-6-1, the son of the legendary Mexican fighter, Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr.

Paul and Chavez Jr. will fight at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, and it will be televised on DAZN PPV with a price tag of $59.99.
