El Paso police investigate after man found dead in Canutillo

A preliminary investigation appears to show no foul play is suspected after a man was found dead in the Canutillo area, an El Paso police spokesman said.

The man in his late 40s was found dead about 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 29, in the 800 block of Talbot Avenue, Officer Adrian Cisneros said in a media message.

The address is in a neighborhood down the street from the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso shopping mall.

Detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit responded to the scene of the “unattended death” and a preliminary investigation found no foul play, Cisneros said.

The identity of the man, a possible cause of death and other information were not disclosed as the investigation continued Monday.
