Texas Tech football receiver Caleb Douglas is off the board after being taken by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft with the 75th overall pick.
Douglas spent two years with the Texas Tech football team and emerged as a true No. 1 receiver option after transferring from Florida. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound native of Missouri City, Texas, led the Red Raiders with 846 yards and 7 touchdowns on 54 catches in helping Texas Tech win the Big 12 Conference championship and appear in the Orange Bowl.
Here’s a look at what Douglas brings to the table for the Dolphins.

Douglas’ best asset is making tough catches and finding separation from his defender to get to the ball. Not the fastest guy on the field, Douglas excelled at winning jump ball-like catching situations streaking down the sideline. He’s a high-yardage receiver who can get chunks of yards on any given play.
Caleb Douglas highlights, strengths, weaknesses at Texas Tech football
Douglas’ best game this past year came against West Virginia where he had 127 yards and 2 touchdowns on just five catches. Those 100-yard games, though, were not the norm. Against the better defenses Texas Tech faced, Douglas was more decoy than asset. In the two games against BYU, he totaled just three catches for 35 yards and a TD. And against Oregon, he recorded no stats.
