With tip-off against the Northwestern State Demons mere hours away, the Texas A&M men’s basketball program is raring to usher in the Bucky McMillan era in Bryan-College Station, Texas.
This will give Aggie fans a first look at what ‘Bucky Ball’ is all about, while also giving the 14 new faces on the roster the opportunity to showcase what they can do in front of the 12th Man. Monday’s contest against the Demons marks the 14th matchup between the programs, with Texas A&M holding an 11-2 all-time record against the opponents from Natchitoches, Louisiana.
The Aggies topped Arizona State in an exhibition contest in Houston, 95-88, in a back-and-forth battle that saw McMillan’s squad knock down 13 three-pointers and shoot 53% from range in the second half. Guys like Zach Clemence, Rylan Griffen and Josh Holloway displayed flashes in the preseason matchup, but tonight is the real thing.

Final prediction and thoughts
When McMillan arrived on campus, there was just one scholarship player on the roster. He immediately went to work and recruited some of the most impressive athletes in the country from the portal. The talent and high-paced style of basketball McMillan has installed at Texas A&M should shine in a season-opening victory over Northwestern State.
