The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with El Paso County Parks and Recreation, invites the community to the 2nd Annual Fall Festival at Ascarate Park.
“Our Fall Festival is a great way to celebrate the season, connect with families, and continue building trust through community engagement,” said Sheriff Oscar Ugarte in a press release. “We invite everyone to come out, have fun, and enjoy an evening filled with entertainment and togetherness.”
Other family, Halloween-related events for this weekend include Boo at the Zoo, ghost tours in San Elizario and a Trunk or Treat at Barnett Harley Davidson.

Oculto Film Fest to take place this weekend
The Oculto Film Fest will take place Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24-25 at the Plaza Theatre’s Philanthropy Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. The Oculto Film Fest features short films, special guests, Q&As and receptions. Information: www.ocultofilmfest.com Tickets start at $18 and are available at Ticketmaster.com.
El Paso Zoo to have Boo at the Zoo
The El Paso Zoo will have its Boo at the Zoo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26.
Kids are encouraged to dress in costume and bring a candy bag or bucket. There will be activities and games, animal encounters, a glow-in-the-dark bug room, and candy stations.

This free, family-friendly event will feature music, food, a Trunk or Treat, costume contest, haunted house, jumping balloons, and other activities. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume and participate in the various contests and activities throughout the night.
Barnett Harley Davidson to have Trunk or Treat event
Barnett Harley Davidson will have a Trunk or Treat event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at 8272 Gateway Blvd. East. There will be kids and pet costume contests, music and food trucks.
Comedian Mark Smalls comes to El Paso
Comedian Mark Smalls will be featured in a night of comedy from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the Sunset Parlor, 1307 N Oregon St.
Smalls is a Los Angeles–based stand-up comedian known for his sharp wit. He has performed with well-known comedians like the late Norm Macdonald, Bobby Lee, Andrew Schulz, and Nikki Glaser. General admission: $25, VIP admission $35. Tickets available at https://www.sunsetparlor.com/events
San Elizario celebrates Dia de los Muertos
The town of San Elizario will celebrate Dia de los Muertos with a parade at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. The route will be from the San Elizario cemetery, at Socorro and Thompson Road to La Placita. The celebration will include altars, a catrinas contest and vendors.
Wet N’ Wild will have its Haunted Scaregrounds
Wet N’ Wild will have a Haunted Scaregrounds for some scary fun in Anthony, Texas. Enjoy the park’s first-ever haunted house, plus specialty food and drinks, and wandering scare actors. Hours will be from 7 p.m. to midnight, Fridays and Saturdays and 7 to 10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays through Nov. 1. Hours will be 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Oct. 31. General admission starts at $15.99 plus fees, available online.
Tommy’s Express to offer its Tunnel of Terror
Tommy’s Express will have its Tunnel of Terror from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25 at 5704 N. Mesa St.
Customers can safely drive through the tunnels at the two Tommy’s Express Wash locations, which will be completely transformed into terrifying haunted experiences. The cost of the Tunnel of Terror wash is $25 for non-members, $10 for TommyClub members, and includes access to an exclusive, tune-in playlist
El Paso’s corn maze has final weekend
It’s the last weekend for The El Paso Farm Land maze, open from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26 at 1100 Nuevo Tanks Blvd. The farmland offers a pumpkin patch, rides, food and games.
La Union Maze open through Nov. 2
La Union Maze celebrates a cherished children’s series, Sesame Street, open now Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 2 at 1101 Highway 28 in Anthony, New Mexico. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. General admission is $13 for 6 and up, and $7 for ages 2-5, available online at launionmaze.com.
Mesilla Valley Corn Maze open for season
The 2025 season of the Mesilla Valley Maze will have its New Mexico Pumpkin Festival, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26, at 3855 W. Picacho Ave. Las Cruces. The maze will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Last admission at 6 p.m. Aside from the regular amenities, entertainment will begin at noon, followed by a pumpkin pie eating contest at 3 p.m. and adult trike races at 4 p.m. General admission is $19, children 12 and under are $16, and those 2 and under are free. A $2 military discount is offered, but requires an ID. Skip the line and buy tickets online: mesillavalleymaze.com.
Jumbo Park to celebrate first year with pumpkin patch
Jumbo Park will celebrate its pumpkin patch weekends through Nov. 2, at 11180 Rojas Drive. Hours will be noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The patch will include a petting zoo, games, food, train, corn maze and pedal boats. For ticket prices on the trampoline park and amenities, visit jumboparktexas.com/prices.
Head to Los Portales Museum for ghost tours in Novembe
Los Portales Museum, at 1521 San Elizario Road in San Elizario, is offering ghost tours on the following dates: Saturday, Nov 8, and Friday, Nov. 14.
