Ohio State football fans are turning their attention toward a five-star running back’s commitment announcement.
David Gabriel Georges, the No. 2 running back in the 2027 class, will be sharing his future plans during a live stream on July 22. The rising senior and Chattanooga, Tennessee, resident will be deciding between Ohio State, Tennessee and Mississippi. The No. 1 running back in the class, Keamon Spell, has committed to Georgia.
Multiple recruiting outlets have predicted that Gabriel Georges is likely to sign with Tennessee over Ohio State.
“All the intel in the last 72 hours is behind the Volunteers,” reporter Pete Nakos said on the Rivals recruiting show The Inside Scoop on July 20. “Tennessee has felt ultra confident, I’d say, for about a month now and it’s continued to ramp up. Ohio State’s always been a big player, big factor in this recruitment, but just everything I’m hearing from both sides, I feel really good about where Tennessee’s at right now.”
Nakos published a prediction for the Volunteers on July 20. On3 vice president of recruiting and transfer portal for On3 and Rivals Steve Wiltfong predicted Gabriel Georges to land with Tennessee on July 21.
The last Ohio State running back to commit as a projected five-star recruit was TreVeyon Henderson back in 2021.
